Whatever you have planned for Saturday night, cancel it. You heard me. Cancel everything.
Saturday night, September 27th from 7-9, you will have the chance to view art created by local artists, and you have to go no further than Java Jolt. This pop up art exhibit will be brought to you by Create Jacksonville, and you can read all about it below, from a post written by the group’s founder, River Kiener.
The mission of Create Jacksonville is to bring art to the people of Jacksonville Alabama by having monthly art exhibitions in a “pop-up” format. We want to work with local business and building owners to provide a space for each event. In doing so, the people of Jacksonville can experience art without having to leave our city and it is also a great opportunity for artists to exhibit their work.
This month’s show, “Art of Jacksonville”, is an exhibition of art that was made in Jacksonville or by Jacksonville artists. The exhibition was juried by local professor and artist Bryce Lafferty. There is a diverse group of art with mediums ranging from pen and ink all the way to ceramics.
The “Art of Jacksonville” exhibition opens for a one night viewing September 27 from 7-9 PM. There will be coffee and treats available for purchase from Java Jolt’s talented baristas and baker.
Come out for a great opportunity to view art, drink coffee and enjoy our great community.
