Join us this Saturday night from 7-9 for a second art exhibit by Create Jacksonville. This exhibit will feature a single artist, Katrina Collins, a student at Jacksonville State. Her show is entitled “Filling the Voids”, and we have a little information about the artist, her show, and an invite from Create Jacksonville!
Katrina Collins moved from California in 2005 to be closer to her parents. After a fruitless search for a job, a friend saw her drawings and suggested she go back to school. Katrina started her education at Jefferson State in Pell City but the bulk of her education and experience has come from her time at Jacksonville State University. She will be graduating from JSU in the fall with her BFA in drawing. Her plans are to further her eduction and pursue an MFA degree and perhaps have a gallery of her own.
Join us for Katrina Collins’ first solo exhibition “Filling the Voids” October 25th at JAVA JOLT COFFEEHOUSE from 7-9PM. This exhibit will feature her unique pen and ink drawings influenced by the human body and nature. There will also be large canvas paintings that Katrina describes as her “therapy”. This is a must see exhibition. We hope you join us for this one night only showing and come enjoy art, coffee and treats on the square.
